– “Dead” Pokemon: If your Pokemon faints, it is considered “dead” and can’t be used.
– ONLY the first Pokemon encountered in each area may be caught.
– Static/gift Pokemon are an exception to this rule, and may be caught/received as usual.
– If the Pokemon runs and/or faints, the encounter is lost.
– If you run into a Pokemon that has already been CAUGHT before, this is considered a duplicate encounter, and you may run away from it & catch another one.
– However, if you catch a duplicate Pokemon by MISTAKE, it is considered an invalid encounter, and the encounter for that route must be forfeited.
– Every Pokemon must be nicknamed.
– Level capping: Pokemon on your team may not be leveled past the upcoming gym leader’s highest level Pokemon.
